do stars collide?
Sometimes you meet someone, and it’s so clear that the two of you, on some level belong together. As lovers, or as friends, or as family, or as something entirely different. You just work, whether you understand one another or you’re in love or you’re partners in crime. You meet these people throughout your life, out of nowhere, under the strangest circumstances, and they help you feel alive. I don’t know if that makes me believe in coincidence, or fate, or sheer blind luck, but it definitely makes me believe in something.

I was listening in to a bit of a debate about whether people can fall in love at first sight or not. Do we engineer it? Do we imagine it? do we really truly get the shivers down our spine, the tingles, fell like butterflies are in our middles and wear a grin from ear to ear for weeks? is this just infatuation? is it love? is it thunderbolts and lightning? does it really happen like in the films? does it last? is it real or imagined?
Well the list of questions was endless, and there were good arguments on both sides.
However, I for one believe in love at first sight, first touch, first voice.........the butterflies, the wobbly knees. Its rare in life, but it shows you are alive, that your heart is open.
The capacity we have as human beings for giving love and for receiving it is quite enormous, bigger I like to think than we are ourselves. Ive experienced this feeling only really truly once in my life and Im grateful for it. A meeting of minds, likes and dislikes, music, culture, ideals, values, physicality, movement .....everything, even down to their smile. and yes .........as the quote above says......it gives me great belief in something, in me, in making the most of every moment we have..........
